Learn the basics of changing your account information, as well as what steps to take when trading your account with another member!

Account Information
• Your member ID: This number cannot be changed, and may be used by other members to look up your profile/den. It is also needed when attempting to send a message to another user.
• Login name: Also known as your username. This name cannot be changed, and you must remember it in order to log in to your account.
• Email: It is very important that you keep this up-to-date, in case you ever forget your password. Your e-mail address can be changed via the "Email" tab on the Account Setup page.
• The Tygras header: Selecting "Yes" will collapse part of the header image. Selecting "No" will display the entire header image.
• Your display name: This name CAN be changed. It is the name that other members will see when viewing your profile/den, or viewing what you have written in the forums/chat room. There is a 25-character limit.
• Your den name: This name CAN be changed. There is a 25-character limit.
• Icon: One of five icons can be selected. It will appear next to your display name in the forums/chat room. This option can be purchased at the Activity Token Shop. If you have not purchased this option, "Unavailable" will appear under the dropdown menu.
• Signature: This will appear at the end of every forum post a member makes. There is a 225-character limit, and HTML is disabled (URL's are automatically turned into links). This option can be purchased at the Activity Token Shop. If you have not purchased this option, "Unavailable" will appear under the dropdown menu.
• Den description: HTML is temporarily disabled.
• Your description: HTML is temporarily disabled.
• Pride tygra: To select a tygra, enter its ID number (the number found at the end of a tygra's URL). Your tygra may appear on Tygras.com's login page!
• Don't forget to hit the "Update" button at the bottom of the Account Setup page!
Password Change will allow you to change your password. It is highly recommended that you make your password a combination of upper-case letters, lower-case letters, and numbers. This will reduce the chances of someone being able to guess your password and hack into your account.
Tag will allow you to upload an avatar up to 120x120 pixels in size, ending in PNG, JPG or GIF. Once your tag has been uploaded, you can select "Show" or "Don't Show" from the drop-down menu, which will determine whether or not a small, square border appears around your tag in your profile/forums.
Email will allow you to generate a code in order to change your e-mail address.
Trading Accounts
Recently, many members have been buying/selling/trading Tygras accounts, only to discover afterward that they cannot change the account's e-mail address unless they have an e-mail change code ("Home", then "Account Setup", then "Email"). Since the e-mail change code is sent to the person who originally owned the account, it can be frustrating if you are the new owner and have to wait on their response in order to change the e-mail address to your own.
In order to avoid such complications, all members who intend to sell or trade their old accounts should have the e-mail change code on hand. That way, it can be sent along with the account's username and password upon completion of the deal.
Do not consider the deal complete until the e-mail address has been changed!
