Tygras.com
Julia (#1) is the owner of Tygras. Her co-owner/sister Emily (#2), programmer Nasire (#3), item artists Quinnick (#4) and Slash (#5), and administrator/head moderator Silver (#11) make up the remainder of the administrative team. The moderator team consists of administrator/head moderator Silver (#11), as well as Tamzin (#54) and Piper (#67). In addition, there are several artists that have contributed to Tygras: Griffinsong (#16), Inkii (#24), Remarkable (#27), Ankokou (#39), Linai (#58), Tacat (#95), and Twi (#152). If I have missed any contributing artists, please let me know ASAP, as they deserve the credit!
Tygras runs on Central Standard Time (CST), unlike many other virtual pet sites. To find out how many hours ahead or behind Tygras is compared to your time zone, visit this website!
Tygras' alpha phase began on December 7th, 2008, and the site officially opened to the public on February 15th, 2009. The "5000th Account" mark was reached on April 16th, 2009.
TygrasDB
The Tygras Database, or TygrasDB, was created on November 6th, 2008 by Silver (#11), in order to serve as a source for image guides, gameplay tutorials, stock photos, and much more. Unlike most fansites, however, the TygrasDB was designed with member-to-member communication in mind. Thus, a chat box on the main page was added, allowing long-time members to answer the questions of newer members, as well as allow Tygras members to post their suggestions for the TygrasDB's further development, and to serve as a temporary "chat room" during Tygras.com's occasional downtimes.
Silver
Silver, also known as Silver(kinz), is a 20-year-old girl living in Southern California. She enjoys playing virtual pet games such as Furry-Paws, Gryffs, Mweor, and (of course) Tygras in her spare time. In addition, she has a combined three and a half years' worth of experience in moderating (SmallCritters and Subeta) prior to her current position as an administrator for Tygras. She is presently a junior at a respectable university, and hopes to become a psychologist in the years to come, specializing in either general teen psychology, drug/alcohol abuse, or severe mental illnesses in patients of all ages. She encourages Tygras members to contact her if they have any questions regarding gameplay and/or the TygrasDB.
